Stored script execution via unescaped FAQ content
Published Nov 2, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Stored XSS in QuantumCloud WPBot 4.8.6 through 4.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through FAQ Builder content. The FAQ Builder stores administrator-supplied question and answer fields without sufficient sanitization and later renders them without output escaping. Exploitation requires administrator access and a multisite installation or disabled unfiltered_html; the script runs when a user opens an affected page.
