Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped settings
Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in KaizenCoders URL Shortify before 1.7.9.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator rights to inject script. The Links editor's Short URL and Title fields and the Groups editor's Name field accept event-handler payloads that are stored and rendered without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and execution depends on another user opening the affected editor and triggering the injected mouseover handler.
