CVE-2023-5601Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file upload

Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Arbitrary file upload in Atomic Web Strategy Ninja Forms Product Add-ons for WooCommerce before 1.7.1 allows remote attackers to execute PHP. The unauthenticated wc_nf_submit AJAX action accepts an f[] multipart upload whose PHP contents are detected as text/plain and stores the .php file under WordPress uploads. No login is required; requesting the uploaded file causes the web server to interpret attacker-supplied PHP, giving code execution in the site's server context.
