Authenticated reflected XSS via page parameter
Published Oct 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Medicine Tracker System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the page parameter. The index.php handler reflects the page query argument into generated HTML without neutralizing script markup, as demonstrated by a payload that executes document.cookie in a victim browser. Exploitation requires a logged-in session and victim interaction with a crafted URL, enabling unauthorized script execution and possible session-data disclosure or integrity changes in that user's browser context.
