CVE-2023-5579Public exploit

Authenticated user-data disclosure via identifier traversal

Published Oct 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authorization bypass in yhz66 Sandbox 6.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' data through /im/user/. The /im/user/{numeric ID} endpoint accepts a JWT issued to one account but returns the record named by a different ID without an object-level authorization check. Access requires a Sandbox login and reachability to the web interface; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of other users' information.
