Stored script execution via unsanitized custom notes
Published Oct 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Stored XSS in Froxlor before 2.1.0-dev1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through custom notes. The custom-note views pass saved note text through nl2br and mark it raw in Twig, so HTML is rendered without neutralization. Exploitation requires high-privileged access to save a custom note and a victim who opens a customer-note view or an enabled dashboard note.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
