Script execution via unescaped page content

Published Oct 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Frappe Learning allows remote authenticated users to execute script in the LMS origin through crafted page content. The people search page appends returned user details as HTML, while course creation inserts an unescaped tag value into button markup. Authenticated access to the affected inputs is sufficient to run JavaScript with the site's browser privileges and read or modify browser-visible LMS data.
