Secure Boot bypass in Axis Communications AB AXIS OS 10.8 through 11.6 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass device-tampering protection. The flaw permits a firmware downgrade past Secure Boot protections, but Axis intentionally withholds the underlying mechanism for security reasons. Exploitation requires physical access to an ARTPEC 8 device and can compromise firmware confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
