Stored script execution via unescaped form labels
Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Ninja Forms before 3.6.34 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute scripts via form labels. The form builder stores label content without sanitizing it and renders the saved value without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires unfiltered_html capability and executes the injected script when the form is viewed on the frontend or edited in the backend.
