Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Stored XSS in Advanced Page Visit Counter before 8.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in authenticated users' browsers. The Widget Settings page stores the Today's Count Label without sanitization and renders the saved value without output escaping during later authenticated visits. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled.
