Path traversal in WP Media BackWPup 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disable sites via writable directories. The Log File Folder setting accepts an unrestricted writable path, and a first backup places index.php and .htaccess access-control files there. Administrator access and a shared writable environment are required; targeting another site's root can interrupt that site's operation.
