Authenticated command execution via decoded file parameter
Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Byzoro Smart S45F firmware through 20230928 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via the file parameter. The /log/download.php handler accepts a Base64-encoded file value and uses decoded filename content in an OS command without neutralizing shell syntax. A valid PHP session is required; commands run in the appliance process context, enabling data access, modification, or service interruption.
