Access-control bypass in the Installer in Google Chrome before 118.0.5993.70 allows local users to evade protections via a crafted command. Google has not published the affected installer code path or the wrong operation performed on the command. Chromium documents Chrome setup.exe as a Windows installer that can run per-user or elevated; the disclosed result is limited to bypassing discretionary access control.
