Database data extraction via unprepared shortcode query
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
SQL injection in Gopiplus Popup with fancybox 3.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to extract database data via a shortcode. The shortcode handler inserts a user-supplied parameter into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or preparation, allowing appended SQL statements. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation exposes sensitive information stored in the WordPress database.
