Heap-based buffer overflow in WPLSoft 2.0 through 2.51 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt it via crafted Modbus packets. The Modbus Data Packet Handler overruns a heap allocation while processing attacker-controlled packet data; public sources do not identify the function or field. Adjacent-network access and low privileges are required, and published metrics report availability impact without data disclosure or modification.
