Browser script execution via unescaped asset history
Published Oct 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Snipe-IT before 6.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The changedInfo method in ActionlogsTransformer returns stored location, model, company, and supplier names without HTML escaping. An attacker needs privileges to alter those names, and a victim must view the resulting asset history; script runs in that viewer's session.
