Script execution via reflected keyword parameter
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Reflected XSS in VirtueMart 4.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a crafted URL. The /product-variants endpoint returns the keyword GET parameter without neutralizing script markup in the response. Exploitation requires the victim to follow the link; the script then runs in the site's origin and can read session tokens or credentials available to page scripts.
