Process crash via malformed XML schemas
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Nokogiri before 1.14.3 allows remote attackers to crash CRuby processes via malformed XML schemas. Packaged libxml2 2.10.3 dereferences NULL schema-processing state in xmlSchemaFixupComplexType and xmlSchemaCheckCOSSTDerivedOK. Exposure requires CRuby with Nokogiri's packaged libraries and an application path that processes attacker-supplied XML schemas; a successful trigger terminates that process without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
