Remote code execution via omitted login password
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in eXtplorer 2.1.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to access the Admin Panel without a password. The index.php login action accepts a username-only POST when the password field is omitted, creating an authenticated session for that account. Knowledge of a valid username is required; the resulting file-manager access permits PHP upload and remote command execution.
