Kernel fault via unchecked allocation failure
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
NULL-pointer dereference in the Linux kernel AT91 PIO4 driver allows attackers to cause a kernel fault via unspecified vectors. The driver stores a devm_kasprintf() result as a pin name without checking for NULL, then continues initialization with the invalid pointer. Reachability requires the AT91 PIO4 driver on a SAMA5D2-class system and an allocation failure; no attacker-controlled trigger is published.
