System crash via missing gfx11 MQD callback
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel 6.5 through 6.5.3 allows local users to crash the system through amdkfd debugfs. The gfx11 MQD manager leaves its mqd_stride callback unassigned, so the debugfs MQD path dereferences a NULL function pointer. Reachability requires gfx11 AMD graphics, the amdkfd driver, and access to the affected debugfs path; the bounded consequence is service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
