Code execution via unneutralized exported CSV formulas
Published Jun 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSV injection in Westguard Solutions WS Form LITE and PRO 1.9.217 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant formulas in exported submissions. Submission fields accept leading spreadsheet formula characters without neutralization before the export routine writes them to CSV cells. Execution requires an administrator to export and open the file in a spreadsheet configuration that evaluates formulas, and resulting actions run with the spreadsheet process's privileges.
