Kernel memory leak via unfreed DMA descriptor
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Memory leak in the Apple ADMAC DMA driver in Linux kernel 6.0 allows attackers to leave kernel memory unreclaimed via unspecified vectors. The terminate_all path moves issued and submitted descriptors to a free queue but omits current_tx after that descriptor leaves the issued list. Exposure is limited to Apple Silicon systems using ADMAC; public records do not disclose attacker reachability or impact beyond retained kernel memory.
