Kernel warning via uninitialized p2plink attribute
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Incorrect object initialization in Linux 6.0 through 6.0.18 and 6.1 through 6.1.4 causes a kernel warning during AMD KFD driver load. The kfd_topology_add_device path creates the p2p_links sysfs file before its p2plink attribute is initialized, so cleanup calls kobject_put on an uninitialized object. Exposure requires AMD KFD topology setup during driver loading; the public record documents a warning, not a crash, privilege gain, or data compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
