Controller crash via crafted message stack overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in Honeywell Experion PKS C300 Controller allows remote attackers to crash the controller via a crafted message. The controller mishandles a received message and overwrites a stack buffer, but Honeywell has not disclosed the affected decoder, protocol, field, or missing bounds check. No authentication or user interaction is required, although exploitation has high complexity; the documented consequence is loss of controller availability, not code execution.
