CVE-2023-54026

Kernel crash via deferred OPP table use-after-free

Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025

Use-after-free in the Linux kernel OPP core allows local users to crash affected systems during deferred device probing. If an interconnect lookup defers after a required-opps table enters lazy_opp_tables, the error path frees the table without unlinking it, and a later provider walk dereferences the stale entry. Exploitation requires an affected device-tree platform and local low-privileged access; the observed consequence is a kernel NULL-pointer dereference and service interruption.
