Unauthenticated code execution via exposed TransferCommand method
Published Oct 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Improper privilege management in Schneider Electric C-Bus Toolkit 1.16.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The network-accessible TransferCommand command exposes a dangerous method that executes attacker-supplied code as NETWORK SERVICE. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation gives control at the service account's privilege level.
