Unauthenticated password change via IP-bound session reuse
Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025
Authentication bypass in DB Elettronica SFT DAB 600/C firmware 1.9.3 allows remote attackers to change passwords through its web API. The userManager.cgx endpoint accepts changeUserPswd requests from an IP address bound to an active session without requiring that session's identifier. Exploitation requires network access and an established session from the reused address, such as through NAT, and permits account takeover and transmitter management.
