File disclosure via encoded backslash traversal
Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025
Path traversal in EasyPHP Webserver 14.1 allows remote authenticated users to read files outside the document root through crafted GET requests. Request handling at the server root decodes repeated percent-encoded backslash segments without enforcing the SecurityManager document-root boundary. Low-privilege access is required, and successful exploitation discloses readable local files, such as Windows configuration data, without changing them.
