Administrator-session script execution via unescaped banner parameters
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Reflected XSS in Revive Adserver 5.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser via a crafted link. banner-advanced.php renders attacker-controlled prepend and append query parameters in the advanced settings page without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a signed-in administrator to open the link, after which the script runs with that administrator session's web-origin access.
