Unauthenticated private file disclosure via unchecked download ID

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Authorization bypass in ProjectSend r1605 allows remote attackers to download private files by supplying another file's numeric ID. In process.php, the download dispatcher passes the unauthenticated id query value to Download::download without first enforcing file ownership or assignment. Any network client that can reach the web application can enumerate valid IDs and read files assigned to other users, including administrators.
