Stored XSS via unescaped section names
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Stored XSS in PHPJabbers Simple CMS 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in an administrator's browser via section names. The pjActionCreate section endpoint stores the i18n[1][section_name] value without neutralizing executable HTML event handlers before display. An authenticated account can create the section, but execution requires an administrator to view it; the script runs in that browser context and can read or alter session-accessible data.
