Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG upload
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Stored XSS in UliCMS 2023.1 allows attackers to execute JavaScript in another user's browser through an uploaded SVG file. The file-manager endpoint admin/fm/upload.php accepts an image/svg+xml file containing a script and stores it under web-accessible content without removing executable SVG markup. Exploitation requires access to the file-management upload workflow and a user to open the stored SVG; the script then runs in that user's UliCMS origin.
