CVE-2023-53921Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unrestricted PHAR upload

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Sitemagic CMS 4.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands via a crafted PHAR file. The SMFiles upload handler accepts a multipart .phar file into the web-reachable files/images directory without rejecting its executable type. The published request uses a session cookie and request token, and fetching the stored file runs its PHP payload with the web server's privileges.
