Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WBCE CMS 1.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript by uploading a crafted SVG file. The media manager's connector.wbce.php endpoint accepts SVG content containing script tags and serves it without neutralizing the active content. A victim must access the uploaded file; the script then runs in that victim's browser context, enabling data access or actions permitted by the session.
