Authenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Path traversal in WebsiteBaker CMS 2.13.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete files outside the configured media directory. The /admin/media/delete.php endpoint accepts ../ sequences in the dir query parameter and resolves the resulting path as a deletion target without enforcing containment beneath the media root. A valid backend session and request identifier are required; successful exploitation deletes attacker-selected server files or directories reachable by the web process.
