CVE-2023-53901Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via HTML upload and login redirect

Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025

Cross-site scripting in WBCE CMS 1.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to capture password keystrokes through a crafted HTML upload. The media manager serves uploaded HTML as active content, and the login endpoint redirects its unchecked url parameter to that file, whose CSS sends character-specific background requests. Exploitation requires an account to upload the file and a victim to submit a crafted form and type into the attacker-controlled page.
