CVE-2023-5390Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via absolute path traversal

Published Jan 31, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025

Absolute path traversal in Honeywell Technologies ControlEdge Unit Operations Controller firmware allows remote attackers to read controller files. The EpicMo LoadFileFromModule command accepts an attacker-supplied absolute path without restricting file access to an intended directory. The service is reachable on TCP port 55565 without authentication from the OT network, and disclosure is limited to readable controller files.
