CVE-2023-53899Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated blind SSRF via shortdesc XML injection

Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025

Blind SSRF in Podcast Generator 3.2.9 allows remote authenticated users to trigger server-side HTTP requests through episode uploads. The upload handler embeds shortdesc in episode XML without preserving its CDATA boundary, so injected imgPG markup supplies an attacker-controlled URL that the server fetches. Administrative episode-upload access and a valid session are required; exploitation exposes an outbound-request channel without returning the fetched response body.
