Authenticated PHP execution via extension-changing rename
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Code injection in Zomplog 3.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through file manipulation endpoints. The saveE action writes attacker-controlled content into Zsettings.js, and the rename action changes that file to a .php name without blocking an executable extension. Valid application credentials and network access to the management actions are required; successful exploitation runs system commands with the web server process privileges.
