Browser script execution via reflected q parameter
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Reflected cross-site scripting in JLex GuestBook 1.6.4 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted q parameter. The /u/perry-705 route reflects the q query value into an HTML attribute without neutralizing injected event-handler syntax. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted link, after which the script runs in that user's browser context and can access session data.
