CVE-2023-53874Public exploit

Application crash via oversized equalizer preset name

Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025

Buffer overflow in GOM & Company GOM Player 2.3.90.5360 allows local users to crash the application through an equalizer preset name. The Add EQ preset dialog accepts and copies a 260-character name without enforcing the destination buffer's size, corrupting memory when the entry is confirmed. Exploitation requires local interactive access to paste the oversized name and click OK; the demonstrated consequence is an application crash on Windows 11, not code execution.
