JavaScript execution via unescaped language parameter
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Reflected XSS in Jorani 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser through the language parameter. The /session/login handler copies the parameter into a double-quoted JavaScript string and returns it without encoding, allowing a quote-breaking payload to run. Exploitation requires active user interaction with the crafted request and exposes browser-accessible data in the Jorani origin.
