Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped settings output
Published Nov 15, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WPVibes Addon Elements for Elementor 1.12.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via admin settings. The admin-ui.php settings renderer accepts administrator-supplied option values and emits them into generated pages without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; viewing an injected page runs the stored script in another user's browser.
