Kernel warning via NULL iounmap in lpfc cleanup
Published Dec 8, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Resource-management error in the Linux kernel allows attackers to trigger a kernel warning through the lpfc SCSI driver. In lpfc_sli4_pci_mem_setup(), conditional BAR mapping leaves drbl_regs_memmap_p or ctrl_regs_memmap_p unset while cleanup calls iounmap() without a NULL check, and one branch leaks an existing mapping. Reachability requires initialization of a relevant lpfc Fibre Channel adapter and the specified PCI BAR conditions; published impact is limited to a warning and resource leak.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
