Credential disclosure via unauthenticated configuration backup
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Information disclosure in the backup endpoint of Tinycontrol LAN Controller v3 LK3 1.58a and earlier allows remote attackers to read credentials. The unauthenticated /lk3_settings.bin handler returns a binary configuration backup whose Base64-encoded user and administrator password fields are decoded directly. Network reachability to the device is sufficient; the recovered credentials permit authenticated control of device commands and settings.
