Stored script execution via unencoded profile name
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in WEBIGniter 28.7.23 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when a user views a crafted profile. The create-account endpoint accepts an image-tag payload in the your_name parameter and later renders that stored value on the profile users page without effective validation or output encoding. Account creation requires no authentication, but script execution depends on a user opening the affected users page; the published evidence does not establish further impact.
