System hang via synchronous crash-stop calls

Denial of service in ARM kexec crash shutdown in Linux allows local users to hang crash handling after an hrtimer-triggered panic. crash_smp_send_stop() invokes machine_crash_nonpanic_core() synchronously through smp_call_function() while interrupts are disabled in softirq context. Exploitation requires local access and an ARM system where a high-resolution-timer interrupt triggers a kernel panic; the bounded consequence is a hang during crash shutdown.
