CVE-2023-53688Network attack vector

Script injection and forged actions via Hypermap Replay

Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025

Cross-site scripting and CSRF in Nagios XI before 5.11.3 allow remote attackers to inject script and induce unwanted user actions. Hypermap Replay accepts crafted input without adequate validation or output escaping and lacks anti-CSRF checks on state-changing requests. Exploitation requires a victim to interact with attacker-controlled content; injected script runs in the victim's browser, while forged requests use the victim's authenticated session.
