CVE-2023-53664

Local service interruption via unchecked OPP pointer

Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025

A null-pointer dereference in the Linux kernel OPP core in 6.5 through 6.5.2 allows local users to interrupt service. The dev_pm_opp_get_required_pstate() function reads opp->opp_table before checking whether opp is null or an error pointer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, and the resulting invalid kernel access is limited to availability impact.
